ABOUT HANNAH REMI OGHENE
Hannah Oghene is a curator of the arts. She translates raw ideas into visual manifestations using the medium of art. She uses art exhibitions to convey a message about culture in society and showcase the artworks and talents of artists who can represent, reinforce, enlighten or change different ideals.
Hannah has worked at art institutions, including Saatchi Gallery and Nike Art Gallery but has since ventured to curate independantly. She curated exhibitions "Scandal" in Cambridge and "Perception" in London, UK. Hannah gradutaed from Cambridge University in 2015 with a degree in Classics. Hannah took all major classes in a Master of Arts degree in Arts Administration at Teachers College of Columbia University in the city of New York. She is currently the Curator of Gallery at the Landmark in Lagos, Nigeria.
The drumming beat of music and dance will not allow Hannah to limit herslf to Fine Art. She began choreographing and dancing in talent shows and cabarets solo as young as 11 years old, she has since worked with and performed the choreography of others. Dance has helped her to view things spacially as well as visually. Hannah also plays the harp and does photography in her spare time.
