What makes a garden special? And more specifically, what is the edifying quality that is given to a garden when it is a place that holds an exclusive feeling of calm and seclusion that only comes with the limited access that there is to it?

A place of romance or a place of feedom and exploration, the expanse and the beauty is ideal for calm reflection, both alone or with that special someone. Old or young it is beautiful for a stroll or a rest on a secluded bench.

Some of the best ideas have been borne on a bench. Out in the open, amongst nature, you are left with nothing but your thoughts. De-stressing, taking in beauty and getting inspiration happens in gardens; both nature and ideas florish.

The beauty of a landscape is that it is forever changing. The outdoors bring you down to earth. Humans are powerless in comparison to nature. The power that there is in growth and change is manifested in a garden. Seasons change just as people go through phases. There is an order to it all. Growth is a beautiful thing and is the one thing we have no control over. We can create a good environment for growth but the growth is not attributed to us. I attribute it to God.
